Holy cow, looky here! It’s not a crazy political cartoon or ramble!
Instead it’s just an insane meander through the miasma of my subconscious.
Enjoy.
I would be lying if I said I had no idea what spawned some of this dream.
In part, it comes from the fact that this week, my pal Jay and his wife, Kate, are tooling around on a sailboat in the Gulf of Mexico. They signed up for weeklong sailing school and trip that starts out from a port on the Yucatan Peninsula.
I’m sure they’re having a blast. Especially since they don’t have to deal with a ship that is composed mostly of ants.
The origin of that part of the dream is a complete mystery to me.
I’d love to hear what amateur Freudians out there can interpret from this.
On the matter of court and process
By the by, it’s been interesting to read the reactions to my alternate universe courtroom coverage.
I thought it would be a good creative exercise to see if it was possible to satire a ridiculous man who’s already a living parody.
Although I didn’t fully expect the thin-skinned reactions of tender souls who are devoid of humor when it comes to their false idols. The topper was getting called “a foreign agent” by one individual. That was hilarious. If only I could only be so lucky as to have some nefarious country stuffing my bank account over my pencil pushing shenanigans!
The other reason for doing this “coverage” is that it’s a test to see how quickly I can bang out these “sketches.” Each one takes me between 15 to 30 minutes. It’s kind of like creating my own little comedy boot camp speed sketching course.
I thank you for putting up with my nonsense. Hopefully you’re laughing along with my jests. I also promise not to flood you with daily updates on “that Man.” God knows there’s only so much one can take of ludicrous demagogues.
I’ll keep it all to minimum of only 1-2 posts a week on that matter.
As for the rest of my loony comics and stories…well… as they flow, they flow.
Cheers,
Ed
O.M.G!!! You mean... ??? Had you not told us it was malarky, I would've continued to ... BELIEVE! ;)))
Please, Ed, give us all you got. It's cathartic! (too many exclamation points?)
I love the texture you give everything. It really makes your artwork standout.
