One should never be afraid to admit to one’s own idiocy. Especially when you can get a cheap laugh from self-deprecating humor.

This failure in admitting to your own asinine qualities is a huge problem with the United States, if not the world. Too many folks would rather be arrogantly and pridefully wrong than admit to their own imbecilic shortcomings.

Obviously, this explains the chowderhead mindsets in our government, as well as the TechBro oligarchs. All of them think they’re endowed with some magical higher wisdom, when in fact, they’re all morons. The only reason they’ve risen to such great heights is because there’s so damn many even dumber suckers on this planet.

How else do you explain all those books and guides for Dummies and Idiots?

I’m also convinced this is why aliens have avoided any contact with Humanity.

I mean, seriously, if you were them, would you want to stop at the Universe’s equivalent of a vermin infested, poorly managed, brawling-patron-filled Waffle House?

I think it was Eramus of Rotterdam who correctly summed up humanity with his quote, “In the land of the nincompoop, the half-brained man is king.”

Hmm, I might have gotten that quote wrong since, after all, I’m an idiot.
