I’m curious as to what topics you, the reader, would like to see me cover. Do you want to read political/editorial comics, or do you like to read cartoons that are simple flights of fantasy that momentarily take you away from the world’s daily grind?
Help me help you to see what gives you the loudest laugh. Consider this a kind of “cartoon improv” where the audience shouts out a suggestion.
To further motivate you, one lucky commenter will receive the latest issue of The American Bystander, the best humor magazine in America.
Bill took the words right out of my mouth. I, too, used to have a love of political cartoons. No matter what the persuasion, I could usually laugh at whatever message was being offered as long as it was funny. Now you will probably lose at least half of your audience immediately no matter what the political position, and the percentage is probably higher than that because everything is so fractured. Show the "loony tune" present in all of us and in everyone we know and you will have a vehicle that everyone can relate to because that is a common feature of the world we live in as it always has been.
With the ever-increasing disfunction and extremism of today’s political landscape, I for one have lost my lifelong appetite for political cartoons and humor. It is enough that I live in an Orwellian Satire that is more far fetched than anything The Onion ever cooked up. Therefore, I vote for more twisted, odd, off-topic comics rather than political!
I love the idea of cartoon improv!
I enjoy all your cartoons.
I do need a laugh to escape reality. Knowing you as well as I do, I enjoy “day In The life” cartoons.
So here’s an improv suggestion: vacation
I'm glad I have such smart and wonderful friends whose insight and guidance is invaluable. Thanks for the input!
I'd love more weird semi-autobiographical comics with a heavy does of the fantastic.
